... I'm not saying that the price was good, I was pointing out that what Leif was asking for was actually lower than what the current license is. Yes the other ones are more expensive for good reason, but as lcl pointed out, they plan to set the price of the license comparable to the express one, which was news to me. So in the end that doesn't matter, and as I pointed out before I said nothing about thinking it was good business sense, nor that I would buy it.
As far as jailbreaking iPhones, it is knowledge that can be found on the Internet. Everyone I know with an iPhone has jailbroken it, so I'd say it isn't really that hard. Sure I've never done it, but most people I know aren't that strong with technology and they tell me it's quite easy. So yes, my comment about it was second hand experience, but I'd say still valid. As for the few extra steps, if someone driven to rip off some apps wanted to, they could. I do agree it takes less effort on other devices.

It depends on, how much money can you make from GE.
If you can make money, then, GE is cheap.
If you can not, then, GE is expensive.
That's so simple.
So, saying , expensive or cheap to GE.
It depends on each person.
For me, it's worth to pay.

Yes thats true. Its making progress. My game "bouldercrash" (see dev section) is running pretty well.
Its
800x480
running a mod file for sound
scrolling
touch screen input
can be compared/similar with the iphone version. Right now I am working on some usability features:
o Dont suspend after a while
o Allow different screen resolutions (dont konw what will happen)
o Distribution (whats the most user friendly env to distribute the build environment? Probably kubuntu will be required because its best build env.
If u dont have ubuntu you might use virtualbox and set it up.
o Beta testers and binaries will be available/registred on game-editor.net. So check it frequently.

I am very happy to hear that the current Android example is working!!!!
Tested devices: HTC desire, Samsung GalaxyS
They all have 800x480
Thanks to the beta testers (especially schnellboot).
If u are interested to test for Android follow the steps:
1) Check out the ge engines website below
2) register
3) Download Bouldercrash.apk and install (adb install -r boulderdash.apk if using APK)
4) Gemme feedback pls
If u are accepted as beta tester u can provide me your game and I will create a Android package either for test or even for android market!!!!
In a later phase I will provide the build plattform for Android GE games. This will be released on Kubuntu. Dont worry. You will get a virtual image for
use with Virtualbox.

Yes, build platform is ubuntu. Thought about shipping a virtual machine image. So no install required. See Virtualbox.
