I know how to make a DualScreen(DS

).
Just set the screen resolution at 320x240(one DSscreen) and after that set it at 320x480 or a little bigger, add a canvas with the code
- Code: Select all
erase(59, 59, 59, 0);
if you want gray, shrink the canvas to the smallest and put it over the middle of the "
View Actor"
and that's how you make dual screen(Didn't take from other users, I figured it out by myself)

I'm fairly new here but I would just like to say that support for DS games would be awesome. You can buy a single DS cartridge that you could put all your games onto for $30 and a 1GB SD card for another $8. If GE does get support for DS games the website to buy these things is
http://ausxmods.com.au/ and search for R4. This is an Australian website but you can find the same product in other countries.

That would be amazing, but if you really wan't to make DS games, I'd advize the people that are making them to make sure you know what your doing, you don't wan't to sell a DS game in stores that look like a 4 year old drew the graphics. (Although, I suck at art, too.).

A lot of people create games using GE just for the fun of it, not so they can sell them. Having DS support would create a lot of new opportunities and maybe even attract new users to GE.

I'm also a DS developer but it is not my career as I am 15.
I am the developer of DS Game Maker from
http://www.dsgamemaker.com in which you can visually design games like with game-editor. For game editor to make DS Games it needs to export as C or C++ code and not rely on any Microsoft or DirectX technologies. I do not think that will ever happen.
If anyone has time to work with me I will port game-editor to the DS. But note I am not great at C but I have massive experience with .NET, I have not examined the source but I imagine it would be useful.
devkitPro is the 'homebrew industry' standard and I am one of the many users of PAlib, a library that makes it easy to make DS Games without mastering the hardware, memory banks and RAM. See:

Thanks for the links. I've always wanted to get into DS games designing but couldn't find a program for it.

Making a DS engine confilics with copyright laws, you guys could make one but would only be able to sell the product if the end user had a nintendo developer license.
Though making it possible to show 2 screens in 1 window would be a much better idea.
