what would be nice, I'm not sure how feasible this would be esp. considering with mobile game development, would be some basic 3d functions for say background maps. Nothing too flashy, but for example in a strategy rpg where the maps are 3d and the sprites are hand drawn. ie:

Image
Atelier Iris: Eternal Mana(ps2)

Image
Shining Force III: Episode 1

Image
Star Ocean: 2nd Story

Also, any plans for Java/J2ME(perhaps even Symbian) support? Smartphone supp. is a wonderful feature, but most phones still support the latter platform.

I have a Symbian phone but I'd still rather OSX support first :)
Not enough UIQ devices out there.

I'm becoming very interested in OSX development and I think there's a huge potential out there. I don't have GE yet.. having only just signed up here (but have plugged it on my blog when I found GE months ago).

I can program in a few languages (I wrote a game in C for PalmOS and it sold probably just over a dozen copies. Wasn't a great game. Mostly just a project to learn programming with).. but I don't want to muck around with low-level stuff. I just wanna make games!!

GE is for 2D games only, and those game are creted with a 3D program.

I think you could probably fake it tho. Render graphics in a 3d program to tga or png files and draw the background by hand. I doubt the above images run from a 3d gaming engine. I think it's more likely to be 2d sprites rendered in a 3d graphics program. Or even drawn by hand in a 2d application.

2.5D ;)

You could possibly render a scene with the camera moving left to right. then you could change the animpos relative to the view's x coordinate to look 3d.

Are you planning on making multiplayers TCP/IP connection possible with game editor?

And if this is the case, when?

Game Editor will have a complete set of features to make multiplayer network games, but I can't give a release date yet.
