really? I thought the teamwork topic was the longest...
oh, well, it may have been for a while :)

Oh, I just looked at the forum's teamwork, and saw that it was... 33 PAGES LONG!!! Wow, I did not know that. Its too bad that it died out -- at least for now.

I still don't get a 3d image in Game Editor, I tried .bmp .png and .jpg, yet none worked...
ánd I can't find the character for 'or' in script editor (if (key[KEY_LEFT] == 1 'or' key[KEY_RIGHT] == 1))

I know this aint the support forum but:
I've got a question (of course): How do you convert a 3d picture (like .an8) to Game Editor? I already tried but it didn't work out. You can just ignore me and go on with your topic if you want, of course -.-

which was answered but I don't get a bit of it, of course...
I gotta stop with the of course thing, of course

You can use the or protocol like this with variables:

if (variable1 == 3 || variable1 == 3,141592654) { //daadirlandaa }

If youre using anim8or, go to render -> render image, and click the save option. A menu should appear, once there, click the button with three dots. Another menu should appear, and at the bottom, you should be able to see which file type (and choose) it will be saved at. Name it, save it, and you should be fine. :)

So it's that easy? But then you have only one picture/sequence, but when you make a 3d game, you want to be able to see everything from everywhere, and not just from the place you rendered it, do you?

Thanks for the '||'-thingey I couldn't remember which characters they where...

Well, GE is a 2d game developer, so that would be pretty much impossible. There is, however, a way to make things appear to be 3d. You can find an example here: http://game-editor.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=2850 . Its a bit complex, and probably takes a while to program, but it works.

You can also make animations by making frames. To do this, you would render your object, save it as "whateveritsnameis1", change it a little bit, save it as "whateverthenameis2", and so on and so forth.

Note that if you have more than 10 animatins you better name blahblahblah_01.jpg or blahblahblaa_001.jpg and so on. :)

cause if you only name it blablabla1.jpeg (the extension dosn't matter) and then write blablabla2.jpeg and go on to ten, ge will get the 10 and 1 mixed up. but if u write it 001, 002, etc. 010, then it won't get mixed up, right tekdino?

Lol that raycasting stuff is a little bit too hard for me yet :)
I thought of making some sort of top view then calculated the distance and angle to make the walls (in this specific case) on screen. It would take a lot less coding wouldn't it?
I already hear you laugh at me -.-
