Hello, I'm hosting a contest. :)

Who ever participates, must follow these rules.

1.Each particapant must have a game, that they would like to enter.

Tip:Make sure it's your best!

2.It must be a full game, demos are aloud to /see edit\. (*EDIT: It must at least have an end and it's an exe, no sorce!)

3.Heres what your game should include (you don't have to do these if you don't want to)

a. Good GFX.
b. Good Game Play.
c. Easy to understand instructions.
d. Good Music and sounds.

4. Games must have conditions that would be rated E or T only. NO EXCEPTIONS!

So anyone intrested, there are prizes too. good prizes.

I won't tell you what the prizes are untill the end of the contest.

Thank You.

P.S I need 2 judges, who will volunteer :?:

Seems like this will be a LONG contest, as it seems most people make demos of games before moving on to something else... seriously, full games take teams of developers often times a year to complete....

I will be willing to participate, I hope to have a full game within the next 2 weeks. :D

Good idea but not yet properly executed.

1 - A closing date gives one a time to work for.
2 - Would the games need to be open source or can they be sold commercially?
3 - Must the game source be given at all?
4 - How many people may work on the game?
5 - Most such competitions are for demos instead of full games. A full game takes a very long time to make, even more so when polished. A full game of this sort would then rather be sold commercially than entered into a contest where one does not know the prizes.
6 - Make sure you have proper rules, *smiles*. I have seen people in previous competitions get very angry at certain things for silly small reasons. Yes people take things too seriously.
7 - Maybe ask Makslane for a part in this forum especially for contests. You will probably have to present your idea to him properly though.

There's probably other advice. Sorry just want to smooth things out for you Rux. Overall it's a good idea.

Heres me opinion about rules,
It should begin next month
The end should be the end of next month
It doesn't matter if its full it just need to be good and playable.
It should be made graphics not graphics that are all ready used.It cant be mario or something.

Can i be a judge? I don't think I'm ready for a full game yet.

I figured out when to end this contest, when a certain amount of entrys are made, the contest will end, id say about 3 to 10 entrys would be enough, cause I don't want to judge to many.

Caaz you get to be judge # 2.

One more judge needed!

If I told you the prizes then you all might get very greedy or competative.
It's best to keep the prizes a secret until the end.

P.S Caaz since you are a judge you can get more information on the contest.
Youve been PMed.

I think there should be a sign up page sort of thing, like everybody who wants to enter in should post that they will.
I will be entering in a Game called Sky Master, I hope to have atleast 2 full test levels to keep the file small, and maybe 15 in the full version. :D

So what consititutes a FULL GAME then? If the game has a menu and an entire level, with an ending, is that a full game? And I agree with the sign-up as Sparky said.

I believe this should not be a full game competetion, just one or 2+ levels would be good in my mind, just to keep file sizes down for the judges. :D
