no it wouldn't... and the DS (legal complications aside) wouldn't be that hard, Makslane could simply sell DS game cards on this site and then we could buy them.

The disk the Nintendo Wii takes is Compact Disk.

How about just also for the Gameboy Advanced.

What Nintendo DS can play

DS Cartriges and GBA (gameboy advanced) cartriges.

But how would you make a wii or ps3 or gamecube or any 3d game using GE, I KNOW it IS possibal to make a 3d game using sprites, (ex. Sonic sphere) but there is all of that legal matter. Unless they allowed you to make home made games but not sell them on the market or in public.

if i could make games for those consoles, i would only do 2D games.

i only will tell you this, you have to do do Ninteno Legal Scripting.
you also have to do console legal scripting. i think you have to write a console exporting virus for your computer to export games for the wii.

makslane will have to put 2 new selectable types of controllers.

1. Wii Remote.

2. Wii Remote & Nunchuck.

and he also has to do Wii executibatle version.

I think the Nintendo Wii idea is a great idea...but the fact of the time however...is a whole other matter! The fact that we would have to get rights and stuff from Nintendo,we would need controllers, ect. would take a while...

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
However it is possible to connect a Wii Remote to your computer...but you need a Wii to use the controller :( ...so you guys it is possible to make a game to use Wii Remotes...cause the Wii Controller is reacting to the keyboard and mouse keys!

I believe...please correct me if I'm wrong...

hi, I'm new here, but I have some comments:

First, a DS port is absolutely feasible. There's a well-supported, albeit unofficial SDK (devkitPro) which I'm sure can be used to port GE. To those concerned about legals, Nintendo can do NOTHING if you're developing using public available tools. What you can't do is release a game/app coded using the NitroSDK withoput a licence from nintendo.

Granted, telling people to buy a M3/Supercard just to play your games isn't really appealing, especially if you're trying to sell the game. One could ship a M3 with a microsd with your game, but that'd rise the price way too high.

And, AFAIK, there's no firmware update for the DS that prevents homebrew apps from running.

The Wii is a completely different thing, and those serious about developing indie games should do some research and try putting togheter a WiiWare project, you can even use Torque Game Engine for that. It's not as easy as GE, but it's just $150.

For those wondering who the hell am I, I'm a full time DS developer :) I'm not a lawyer though, but I'm pretty sure that if you stick to free tools, Nintendo can't prevent you from running whatever you want on your console :)

it wouldn't be too hard to work games for the touch screen you could have mouse button downs and things like that...and for actually playing them on the ds, i've heard of a game cartridge that takes mini sd cards and reads them on the ds so you can play the games and @makeslane: GO FOR IT!!!! that's a great idea if someone would make games for the ds they'd just have to keep it a secret and only tell people they trust with their whole heart (Gosh that sounded cheesey  ) and force them to keep it a secret  for exporting them you'd need to export as .nds files
