Blog help

Postby PacSam » Thu Sep 12, 2013 2:33 pm

I'm new to this but am wanting to create my own games after having a bit of a reminisce about old games I used to play, no idea how many hours I've lost playing things like Tetris and R-type, but I really want to try and recreate the retro feel.
I've had the idea of blogging about all this, digging out my old games and reviewing them and talking about my attempt at game creation and comparing them. Any suggestions on where to start? Looking around I've seen this kind of thing http://website.1and1.co.uk but also someone mentioned blogger but I don't know anything about it.
Cheers.

I use Blogger, and it works pretty well for my purposes. I chose it because it was pretty straight-forward and easy to use, and fit the design I had planned.

If I didn't use that, I would choose either wordpress or tumblr.

My website was mocked up in http://kompozer.net/, and fine tuned with notepad ++ (graphics done in inkscape and gimp).
If you want to make a site with templates, I'd say you find a free service like webs.com or wix to get your feet wet (also the blog hosts mentioned above are free as well).
