Abandon Linux Support?

Just a poll. Not to be taken seriously.

Hey, I don't use Linux, and I don't know anyone who does, but if they're willing to pay me for one of my games, I'll make it for that Penguin OS. :)

Just because you don't use Linux, it doesn't mean 50,000 other people aren't using it! (by the way, i'm not exagerating. There are probably much more!)

Yeah, I know. But I'm just saying that if someone wants my game on Linux, it will be on Linux.

No offense to Linux, but if he decides to drop one platform, I hope it would be in support of another platform such as Smartphone or Palm, however, I feel that Palm would be too different of architecture and the resulting code may not perform as well as they do on Pocket PC and the Windows platforms.

Linux owns about 1%of the market, so thats a pretty big number when you think about it; still I personally hate linux.

Tell me why you hate Linux. Have you ever used it? There is no reason to drop a platform anyway! If you like, you can look at the document I made: http://bubble.worth.id.au/~joshua/Linux%20doc/Linux%20doc.pdf

One more platform gives more chance to make more money. I maybe hate Macintosh, but it would hurt to add it

Macintosh is coming our way, if you haven't noticed the news regarding Apple and Intel.

Joshua: I know about linux, and I have used it. Unfortunately I have no good reason for hating Linux, other than it's just me. :|

But I am one of the few Microsoft fans out there, so I have my prejudices.

I never said Linux was a bad OS, in fact lots of people around me use it, and for good reasons, too. But, when people start saying stuff like every single crash is Windows' fault, that's where I draw the line. Mac & Linux deserve respect. Definately.

But in the same light, so does Microsoft. They have to deal with millions of computer parts being compatible with millions of pieces of software, all through one single OS. Windows is generally universal, so if you want major compatibility, you gotta take it, crashes and all!

Well, there's my opinion and sermon, all in one!

But anyway what Makslane is offering (the 3 platform) us is reilly a lot, if you tink about it Linux and windows use a big difference of the system coding(the way it work and run application and all that stuff.
