You can't run it in terminal... I don't get it, but it will segfault... I have to open it through clicking, quite sad, and if you think about it, it doesn't make sense at all, but that is what happens for me.

Game Editor was designed to works in several operating systems.
It works on Linux, but I don´t know if works in every Linux destribution (there are several Linux flavors and I can't test all!)
Game Editor is an open source game creator software that's wants to pay it's developers to keep evolving.
If you like Game Editor, make a review!

Okay, after a little experimenting, I got it to run from command line. Not really sure, because I tried this before... but now it seems to work. You can't invoke using any method except for ./gameEditor. If you are in the directory holding gameEditor, than use ./gameEditor. From here you can right a script so you can invoke it with a command. The problem being that the gameEditor exe is not a stand alone exe. So most attempts are to actually run the exe. It will segfault without the other contents of the folder, hence ./ working.

Using Ubuntu 9.04 with Gnome interface, GE for linux installs and opens just fine. It also opens files just fine.

The problem is, display during gameplay is exceptionally slow. In the game i was messing with, when the view was not moving it played fine, but when view moves, it slows down to 27 fps. (its a 60 fps game).

However, my display driver in linux isn't great, though it does render 3d games very well.
It's easier to be clever than it is to be kind.

Ubuntu 9.04 gnome as well. 64 bit. GE works fine. Great frame rate for me as I have a nvidia GTX 250.

Cut and paste doesnt work outside GE. I would guess that it isnt communicating with the GTK clipboard.
